Can you imagine having free WiFi for your kids? A Swiss couple accidentally got it by choosing “Twifia” as their young daughter’s middle name in response to a strange advertisement from an internet company.
As reported by the portal LADbibleThe Twifi company announced on Facebook that they would give free internet to anyone who named their baby Twifus (if it was a boy) or Twifia (if it was a girl), and proved it with a birth certificate.
The parents, who want to remain anonymous because “we are deeply accused of selling our daughter’s name,” have decided not to divulge their daughter’s full name.
“The more I thought about it, the more unique the name became for me, and then it got its charm,” the father confessed. “For me the name Twifia means connection in this context. An eternal bond!”, Confirmed the mother.
With all that excitement, the parents will put the money they would have spent on the WiFi payment into a savings account so their daughter can change her name at 18 if she so wishes.
Philippe Fotsch, head of Twifi, reported that his startup will pay the girl’s internet until 2038, even if they go bankrupt. “It’s a point of honor,” he said.
