The Mexican Ministry of Health registered 3,719 new infections this Monday, meaning the country has already accumulated 599,560 cases of the new coronavirus, while the death toll has risen to 64,414 after the last 256.
In a press conference held at the National Palace this Monday, the Mexican Government’s Director-General for Epidemiology, José Luis Alomía, said that after more than 1.34 million tests, there are 43 percent positive cases, a downward trend in the number of infections.
In turn, he has elaborated that there are still 77,730 suspected cases and 38,923 active cases, which is 6 percent of the total accumulated cases, while 416,738 people managed to overcome the disease.
On the other hand, Mexico City remains the regions with the most accumulated cases with 4,412 regions. Nuevo Leon, 2,362; and Guanajuato with 2,232.
