There are another 66 hospital deaths in France and a decrease in intensive care patients in France

The French Ministry of Health reported this Thursday that another 66 coronavirus deaths have been registered in the country’s hospitals in the past 24 hours, and patients admitted to intensive care have continued to decline.

Health officials have said in a statement that the death toll since the pandemic began is 28,662, of which 18,326 have been registered in hospitals and another 10,336 in nursing homes and day care centers.

Director-General for Health in France, Jérôme Salomon, reminded in a press conference that the number of fatalities on the last day is only those who died in hospitals, despite the government’s anticipation of deaths in nursing homes this Friday Updated May 29th.

People admitted to the country’s hospitals have dropped to 15,208, 472 fewer than on Wednesday. This number continues to decrease, although another 253 people were admitted on the last day.
