The WHO still finds no conclusive evidence of coronavirus infection through contact with objects

May 16, 2020

The World Health Organization (WHO) has not yet found conclusive evidence that the coronavirus can spread through contact with an artificial surface such as doorknobs or keyboards, according to a recent report by the United Nations Medical Agency.

However, the organization adheres to its recommendation for the disinfection of surfaces and objects whenever possible and for the calm of the population.

The study refers to another report in which the virus could survive on a surface for up to seven days. In this sense, the WHO reminds that these tests were carried out in a laboratory, far from the actual conditions.
