The WHO reports the highest number of coronavirus cases in one day since the pandemic started

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported 106,000 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the highest number since the pandemic started.

“106,000 coronavirus cases have been reported to WHO in the last 24 hours, the highest in a single day since the outbreak began,” said WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at a press conference.

In addition, Tedros, who said that the pandemic was “a long way off,” found that nearly two-thirds of these 106,000 cases came from only four countries. However, he did not state what they are.

On the other hand, although he recognized the case of countries like South Korea, he was “quick” to implement a “comprehensive” strategy to find, isolate, test, and process each case, in addition to tracking every contact “about the increase in cases in low and middle income countries.
