Principal researcher responsible for fighting the coronavirus in the United States, Anthony Fauci, pointed out this Wednesday that the North American country has suffered “as or worse” from the coronavirus pandemic than the rest of the world.
This was voiced during an event held at Harvard University where he added that “the numbers don’t lie,” as reported by CNN television station.
In the opinion of the epidemiologist, the pandemic has left all “uncharted territory” and has estimated that the situation is “historic” and that “nothing similar has happened in 102 years”. And it’s developing, riveting.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States (CDC, acronym for English) reported this Wednesday that the North American country has registered a total of 49,988 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Currently, the United States is nearing 5 million confirmed cases with 4,748,806, according to CDC data.
