Vice-President of Afghanistan, Amrulá Salé, survived a car bomb explosion on Wednesday that hit his convoy in Kabul, killing three people and injuring twelve.
The attack took place in the Taimani area of the Afghan capital. Salé’s office, which was unharmed, has confirmed the attack and reports that three members of his team are wounded, according to the Afghan television broadcaster Tolo News.
A Salé official Humayun Ahmadi has indicated that several civilians were killed or injured in the area, the DPA news agency reported. Afghan security forces and firefighters are on site.
So far, no group has taken responsibility for the attack, although Salé remains strong against the Taliban.
