Johns Hopkins University reported this Sunday that the United States has reached 5,402,803 accumulated cases of COVID-19 and 170,052 deaths, while New York continues to see deaths above those of entire countries like Spain or France.
In its latest record, the Johns Hopkins reported an increase of 55,557 infections and 706 other deaths. New York State tops that sad ranking with 32,840 deaths from the disease, from which 74,154 people have recovered on the territory.
However, other states have so far recorded the most accumulated cases. Compared to 425,508 in New York State, it is 620,271 in California or 573,416 in Florida.
In terms of the number of deaths to New York are New Jersey with 15,912; California at 11,231; and Texas with 10,271 dead.
