The UK has confirmed that it has again exceeded 1,000 coronavirus infections a day, despite only seeing two more deaths from the disease in the past few hours, according to the UK government released this Friday.
For example, the government has announced that 1,033 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, up to 323,313 cases, while the two deaths have increased to 41,405 since the pandemic began.
That number continues the upward trend seen last Thursday when 1,182 cases were recorded, a return to four digits after Wednesday’s 812 new infections. The number of deaths is less than the six in the balance sheet reported the previous day.
It is estimated that a total of 841 patients will be hospitalized, with another 76 requiring assisted ventilation in intensive care units.
