The UAE confirms a new high in coronavirus cases since May amid a surge in infections

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government confirmed a new maximum of coronavirus cases since May this Friday, amid a drastic boom that has led the country to consider introducing new restrictions.

The Emirates Ministry of Health said in a statement that 931 infections have occurred in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 77,842 despite the fact that there have been no deaths. So the number remains at 398.

This number of infections is the highest since the height of the coronavirus pandemic in the United Arab Emirates in May, with the highest on May 19, 20 and 21, when the number of infections fell sustainedly in the Asian country.

On the other hand, he pointed out that on the last day of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, 517 people recovered, bringing the total to 68,462 since the pandemic began.
