United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Sunday that there is “a significant amount of evidence” showing that the new coronavirus that has caused a global pandemic is in a laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the epicenter of, the disease started, although it has not confirmed that it was manufactured.

“I can say that there is ample evidence that this virus came from a laboratory in Wuhan,” Pompeo said in an interview with ABC’s ‘This Week’ program, although he did not indicate that it was a virus created by the managers of the laboratory.

“We said from the start that the virus started in Wuhan and we were very concerned about it, but I think the world has just recognized it,” he said.
