The tightening of mask use measures comes into force in Belgium

The new measures for the mandatory use of masks in Belgian markets, public buildings and main streets have finally come into force this Saturday after confirming that the number of coronavirus infections has increased to prevent the possibility of a second wave.

The federal government announced on Thursday that the authorities would increase control over “barrier measures” to prevent the spread of the virus, at a time when the trend is again pointing to a sharp increase in infections with an increase 89%.

The terms also require that restaurant owners save their guests’ contact information for 14 days.

Face masks are also mandatory in restaurants, though not when people are seated at a table, in addition to those already set up for public transport, as well as in shops, places of worship, cinemas, and museums.
