The Spanish Neobank Bnext was put into operation under the approval of an e-money company supervised by the Bank of Spain. This was reported by El Economista on July 13th. In this way, Bnext can offer its users an IBAN to debit expenses and pay slips.
In addition, the article in El Economista pointed out that after receiving this approval in February, fintech now also offers the option of adding the Bnext card to Google Pay and configuring it for mobile payments. Work is also underway to integrate this payment solution into other operating systems in the near future.
“Bnext has partnered with Mastercard to process payments through its Mastercard processing platform. Therefore, it will issue its new cards through Mastercard and this will enable its users to use the xPays service, which includes both payments and the ability to withdraw money thanks to the “contactlessness” of the mobile phone, “the publication said.
“For this new phase, the company has changed its visual identity with new colors, typographies, and corporate values that are reflected in all fintech touchpoints, from maps to the web to the app,” they added.
Guillermo Vicandi, CEO of Bnext, said:
“Operating under the approval of the Bank of Spain’s Electronic Money Entity gives us a freedom that we haven’t had before and that, thanks to an ally like Mastercard, will be great news that we will unveil in the coming months.”
