The Republican Party this Monday formalized the nomination of Donald Trump as a presidential candidate for the November 3 elections on the first day of a Republican National Convention.
Meetings of Republican delegates in Charlotte, North Carolina, one after the other and loudly voted to ratify Trump as a candidate for re-election.
“The election has never been so clear as in these elections and the stakes have never been so high,” said Vice President Mike Pence, who has indicated that Trump could appear in person at Congress this Monday.
The presence of Trump is not confirmed in a convention that is greatly reduced by the risk of contagion from the coronavirus. The president has made it his business to use Twitter to criticize the retransmission of channels he considers hostile such as CNN and NBC, although he also had a few words for Fox News that are in principle more related.
