The Polisario accuses Morocco of using “false pretenses” for its “aggressiveness” towards Spain

The Polisario Front has assured that Morocco’s “aggressiveness” towards Spain is not based on “false pretenses” such as the reception of Brahim Ghali, but is based on the “political failure” that would have meant the countries of the European Union did not follow the stele that the then President of the United States, Donald Trump, decided in December on the recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.

The State Department of the self-proclaimed Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) believes Rabat has not accepted the “bitter failure” of his “aggressive and expansionist adventure”. In this sense, he believes that what he envisioned as a “global wave” that would legitimize the “illegal” occupation of the former Spanish colony has resulted in “defeat” and “isolation”.

In a statement, the Polisario identified the most recent political “aggressiveness” against Spain and Germany as the “immediate consequence” of this “political error”, based on “false pretenses” and “deceptive arguments” such as the reception of Ghali.

The SADR government, which sees the Moroccan authorities as a “permanent source of destabilization”, has called on the EU, the United Nations and the African Union to “redouble their efforts to end the illegal occupation” and endorse the Saharawi self-determination plan advocate people who reject Rabat immediately.

“The international community is called to take its responsibility,” added the Polisario, who has accused the Moroccan government of “obstructing” the efforts of the United Nations to end the decolonization process and fail to comply with the obligations under the law . 1991.

“It has become necessary, even urgent, to respect the international borders in Morocco and turn the page to expansive politics, aggression and blackmail,” added the Polisario Front.
