The government of the Philippines confirmed more than 2,000 cases of coronavirus on the last day this Sunday, which has pushed the Asian country past the 80,000 infection mark since the pandemic began.
The Filipino Ministry of Health recently reported in its recent Facebook account that 2,110 cases had been registered in the past 24 hours, for a total of 80,448.
It was also found that 39 other people died on the last day of COVID-19, the coronavirus-related disease for a total of 1,932. In addition, 26,110 people have recovered from the disease, including 382 during this period.
Finally, the ministry pointed out that there are currently 52,406 active cases in the country, of which 89.83 percent are minor. 9.25 percent, asymptomatic; 0.49, serious; and 0.42 are in critical condition.
