The U.S. Department of Defense officially released three short videos of the Navy on Monday showing “unidentified flight phenomena” after the records have been distributed without permission since 2007 and 2017, according to a statement.
In particular, the videos, one recorded in November 2004 and the other two in January 2015, show apparently unidentified flying objects that move quickly, one of them while infrared cameras record them.
In fact, on one of the recordings, you can also hear how Pentagon employees are amazed at how fast their recordings move. Another voice speculates that it could be a drone.
According to the US Navy, the body admitted that the videos, which were already available to the public, were recorded by the body. Therefore, the publication was decided “after a thorough review” because “it does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems and does not influence later investigations into intrusions into military airspace by unidentified flight phenomena”.
The Pentagon has also determined that the publication of the videos also serves to “clear up any misunderstandings” as to whether the film material in circulation was genuine or not or whether the videos contain more pictures.
