The opposition suspends anti-government mobilizations in Mali until July 31

An opposition movement in Mali has announced its decision to suspend the mobilizations called for from Tuesday through the end of the month to give the population time to prepare for the Feast of Sacrifice.

According to information from the Maliactu portal, the “armistice” demanded by the Patriotic Forces Movement Group (M5-RFP) on June 5 will continue until July 31, when Eid al Adha Tabaski in the African country.

The announcement came a day after the M5-RFP announced a new day of civil disobedience after the proposal by the mediation delegation from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to resolve the political crisis was rejected.
