The opposition confirms that, despite the calling of the Church, it will not participate in “fraudulent elections”

The self-proclaimed “responsible president” of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, has affirmed that the main opposition parties of the government of Nicolás Maduro will not take part in the parliamentary elections scheduled for December 6th, as they are “fraudulent” despite the call of the Venezuelan Bishops’ Conference ( CEV) to participate in them, in an unexpected twist.

“People already know, but it is worth reminding the dictatorship: we will not participate in fraud as we did not take part in the farce of 2018,” the opposition leader wrote on Twitter.

Guaidó has insisted that “defeating the dictatorship” can only be achieved by following the established routes that “unite and mobilize the majority of the country on a route that facilitates the transition”.

“And that’s the next step: the rebuilding of the single pact, which has proven itself, as in 2015 and 2018,” he emphasized the opposition alliance that won the National Assembly five years ago and boycotted the presidential elections of three.
