In the past three months, 28 new members have joined the Colombian fintech community, a union that represents companies that provide financial services through technology. This was reported by Colombia Fintech in a statement.
Colombia Fintech is an association that brings together around 200 companies in the fintech value chain in this country. Members offer financial services using technology and provide tools for developing operations and various types of transactions.
In the statement, they said: “The 28 new members mainly come from the Digital Credit and Digital Payment subsectors (…) In addition, there are software development companies that are not part of the fintech business, but that offer added value for a holistic and powerful ecosystem of financial solutions that require technology as a decisive factor for disruptions. “
Then they pointed out: “The pandemic scenario caused by COVID-19 has further stimulated the ecosystem, since integrated fintech solutions with productive synergies weaken the effects of external shocks and facilitate the acceleration of digital transformation processes. In a short time, fintech companies have become fundamental for financial inclusion of individuals, independent workers and small businesses has been demonstrated and it is important to give them the tools to strengthen their purpose and ensure their sustainability as key players in the ecosystem. “
