May 1, 2020

While many other accounts were restored shortly after they were suspended in the past few days, YouTube has not yet restored the CrytptosRus channel. Three weeks have passed since the original request to reinstall the channel creator.

“My channel is still blocked,” CryptosRus host George said in an email to Cointelegraph on April 28, adding YouTube has not reached the situation. “I have appealed the decision three times,” he said.

YouTube bans for days

The social video platform blocked and tagged a large number of high-profile YouTube crypto accounts in December 2019. Many accounts were restored in the following days. Although several channels reported new restrictions in early 2020.

Tone Vays and Crypto Crow presenter Jason Appleton saw that their channels were blocked in April, even though YouTube had restored them in a few days.

CryptosRus continues the countdown

While many cryptocurrency YouTubers have restored their channels in the past few months, CryptosRus, a channel with 64,000 registered subscribers, is still out of service.

“I’ve tweeted on Team YouTube, YouTube, YouTube Makers, and even Susan Wojcicki several times,” said George. “I’ve had live chats with agents more than a few times,” he said.

“I even sent Susan an email explaining my situation and apologizing.”George referred to the YouTube CEO, adding, “Nothing has worked so far.”

Banning trends in YouTube cryptocurrencies remains a mystery. However Some speculate that the prohibitions are linked to the platform’s algorithm, Cointelegraph reported in detail.
