A party at a nightclub in Prague has left 109 coronavirus infections to date on Friday, and 270 people are in quarantine as cases increase across the Czech Republic.
Prague Health Commissioner Zdenka Jagrova said the party was organized last Thursday, although she hopes other cases related to this meeting can be confirmed.
“It is a group of young people who have got to know each other. Since they all have a lot of activities and contacts, the number of illnesses has risen to 109 to date,” he said according to the Czech news agency CTK.
The health manager recalled the importance of complying with health regulations, especially at mass events and in closed outdoor clubs where the risk of infection increases. “We want young people to have fun, but let them have fun outside,” he added.
