The Navajo population in the United States has registered more than 4,500 cases and 149 deaths

The Navajo Nation of the United States, one of the most coronavirus-affected communities across the country, has confirmed more than 4,500 infections while the death toll has reached 149.

The new cases bring the total number of infections to 4,529 after the local health agency has changed its information methods to reach all points on the indigenous reserves, according to the new Navajo Times.

The Navajo nation, which spans parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah, is again in a 57-hour detention this weekend.

During the closure, all residents must remain in their homes, except for essential workers, first aiders, and health workers.
