The Mayor of Seoul, Park Won Soon, was found dead in the north of the South Korean capital after his family reported his disappearance, according to the official Yonhap news agency.
Park’s daughter filed a complaint after 5:00 p.m. local time, claiming that her father “left home four or five hours after saying words that appeared in the will”. “Your phone is off,” he said.
The security forces had activated a large device in which dogs and drones also participated. The search had focused on the Seongbuk district in the northeast when the signal from his phone was last discovered near the Gilsangsa Temple.
According to Yonhap, there have been speculations that his disappearance is related to a suspected case of sexual assault. Apparently, a former secretary who worked in his office had recently filed a complaint against Park (64), although the police did not decide on it initially.
