The candidate for the presidency of Bolivia for the Movement towards Socialism (MAS), Luis Arce, presented three conditions for the civic education of the former President Evo Morales this Saturday to approve the new election date after several changes due to the COVID crisis. 19, were set for September 6th.
“Any day that passes the date of the September 6 elections will be further removed. We see clearly that this will not be possible,” Arce said during a press conference at which he also insisted on dialogue as the only way to set a new date.
Accompanied by former Foreign Minister von Morales and now runner-up to the MAS candidacy, David Choqeuhuanca, Arce has indicated that the new election date must be subject to a new law at the same time as the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) and must guarantee that it must “is final so that the Bolivian people can regain democracy”.
For the new election date, the “Confirmation, Sponsoring and Guarantees” must again be approved by the international community.
