The Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón organizes a webinar on the use of blockchain in the capital markets and in financing

In Spain, Aragon’s Technological Institute (ITAINNOVA) organized a webinar on May 19 for blockchain applications in the capital markets and for financing. This has been reported by this institution through its website.

The initiative is aimed at investors, specialists and companies. It should also be noted that ITAINNOVA is affiliated with the Aragon government’s Department of Science, University and Knowledge Society.

As explained by the aforementioned institute, Mariano Torrecilla will be responsible for the paper titled “Reinventing Capital Markets: How to Attract Businesses and Debt Using Blockchain and Asset Tokenization”.

On the other hand, they emphasized that This activity is part of the BLOCK4-COOP-SUDOE project, whose partners include ITAINNOVA. And they reported that the aim of this project is to contribute to the digital transformation of companies in the participating regions (Aragon and the Basque Country in Spain; Auvergne in France and Lisbon and Aveiro in Portugal) and to improve their competition by using blockchain technology the development of Industry 4.0 for organizations by providing information services, advice and interaction between developers and users.

ITAINNOVA stressed that the members of this project will work to:

  • Knowledge of the development situation and the level of application of blockchain technology in the regions involved in the project.

  • Raising awareness and advising SMEs in the three participating regions and other companies in the SUDOE area regarding the advantages and possibilities of blockchain technology in the development of Industry 4.0.

  • Facilitating the integration of advanced technologies (blockchain, IoT, big data) in industrial sectors of the regions involved in the project.

  • Support the development of new companies / business initiatives (start-ups with a lifespan of 1 to 3 years) in connection with blockchain technology and Industry 4.0

  • Promotion and support of collaborative innovation projects between SMEs and knowledge agents from the three regions involved in the project (and, as far as possible, from other regions of the SUDOE area).

  • Creation of a stable network for cooperation between public institutions, companies (especially SMEs), start-ups, company representatives and technology and knowledge agents between the three SUDOE regions (Spain, France and Portugal).

The BLOCK4-COOP-SUDOE project is 75% co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg Sudoe program.
