August 5, 2020

The House of Commons interior committee has accused the British government of making “critical mistakes” in its border decisions at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a report released this Wednesday, lawmakers compiled a list of mistakes made by Boris Johnson’s executive that he “was slow to recognize the increasing risk of the disease spreading from other European countries,” mentioning Spain in particular .

In this sense, the Committee also condemned the lack of transparency in border-related decisions and the re-establishment of isolation for travelers from Spain.
