August 4, 2020

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis launched a series of cabinet reforms on Tuesday to boost the economy, protect the environment and improve government efficiency.

As his spokesman Stelios Petsas said, the president has completed the formation of a government that highlights “the strategic areas related to the present and future of the country.”

With this in mind, he assured that this would increase the government’s “operational” efficiency, particularly in the areas of finance, employment, health and the environment, according to the Kathimerini newspaper.

These changes imply that Deputy Finance Minister Theodoros Skylakakis will now be responsible for the Hellenic country’s fiscal policy, which is a small improvement.
