The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov fought on Facebook and Instagram for making money with fraudulent advertisements with Durov’s name and image.

Via his Russian broadcaster Telegram on June 17th Durov accuses the technology giant of being deaf to user complaints:

“”For more than a year, Facebook and Instagram have been making money from scams that run on my behalf. <...> These machinations are approved by the Facebook moderators and allow them the status of advertising, which deceives people“”

Facebook has enough resources for political censorship

One of the frauds led by Durov was an incorrect offer of gram tokens. Durov also accuses Facebook of double standards and claims that the moderators are trying very hard to facilitate political censorship:

“The situation in which Facebook has been ignoring the complaints for more than a year and generates revenue due to the financial inexperience of the users is unacceptable. Given the speed at which the Russian-speaking Facebook moderation team is easing political censorship (https://sobesednik.ru/politika/20200427-rt-tramp-i-fabrika-trollej-kak), the company has sufficient resources to rate advertising. “

Durov recommends Facebook to take this problem into account from the weekend. In the meantime, users are asked to save fraudulent ads for a possible future lawsuit.
