Ana Karen Ramirez, Founder of Epic Queen, receives the award from MIT Technology Review Innovators under 35 (IU35) She is one of the brightest minds in Latin America for her work to enable girls and women to train in MINT training (natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics).

Every year the magazine becomes the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) honors 35 young Latinos who positively change the quality of life around the world in five categories: inventors, entrepreneurs, visionaries, humanists and pioneers.

The founder of Epic Queen was recognized in the Visionaries section for the focus of her initiative, which “seeks to solve a reality mainly from emerging markets”.

“The work we do at Epic Queen is aimed at bridging the gender gap in STEM and meeting the skilled labor needs that are needed now and in the future. This recognition is another motivation to continue our work and an opportunity to reach more girls and women with the opportunity to change their future and that of the sector, ”says Ana Karen Ramírez.

Ana Karen works in the field of science and technology and all of her efforts are aimed at improving the education of girls and women. He has an MBA in Innovation and ship and a Bachelor of Animation and Digital Art. She graduated from Singularity University on NASA campus and was 100% rated by Google. He is a member of the Global Shapers community.

Ana Karen is currently the CEO of Epic Queen, a social enterprise that inspires girls and women to be curious and brave through STEM education. To date, Epic Queen has taught more than 280 programming, technology, and science courses. These teachings have influenced more than 50,000 girls.
