The former director of the Federal Ministerial Police, Carlos Gómez Arrieta, volunteered to go to the public prosecutor’s office in order to disappear the 43 young normalists from Ayotzinapa in 2014.

Alejandro Encinas, Undersecretary of State for Human Rights, has access to social networks that Gómez set up after he issued an arrest warrant against himself.

“This morning in Mexico City, Carlos Gómez Arrieta, former head of the Federal Ministerial Police, surrendered to the authorities of the FGR Mexico voluntarily during the unfortunate events in Ayotzinapa, for whom there was an arrest warrant,” stressed Encinas.
