The tallest university building in Mexico, UNAM, will teach the first course exclusively on “Cryptoassets and Blockchain” at the Faculty of Accounting and Administration. The main goal is to provide the basic basics so that those who have no knowledge of cryptocurrencies can begin to get an idea of the crypto ecosystem. The topics covered should convey the basic principles:
- Blockchain basics
- Technology applications
- Crypto assets in the financial system
- Decentralized finance (DeFi)
Within the above topics, the aim is that the participants in each of the modules can have the best possible approach to practice, so that not only the theoretical foundations for crypto-assets exist and ultimately it is expected that the participants have the basic foundations to be familiar with Crypto assets to work. The course starts on January 21, 2021 and lasts 20 hours. The modality is online and is aimed at the general public with or without prior knowledge. The certificate is also delivered, which is confirmed by the institution. The information is available on the faculty’s website.
Undoubtedly, this is a big step in the education sector as the public universities are more interested in providing information on these issues.
