The French authorities have announced that the fine for wearing a mask in closed public places will be 135 euros. The use of a mask in closed public places is mandatory from this Monday.

“Unannounced controls are being carried out to enforce this rule,” Le Parisien newspaper cited government sources.

French Minister of Health Olivier Véran said the scheme will mainly affect shops, public facilities, covered markets and banks. This would also apply to closed sports facilities.
