The FARC condemns an “exponential” increase in ex-guerrilla killings

July 11, 2020

The party of the Common Alternative Revolutionary Force (FARC), heir to the demobilized guerrillas with the same initials, has denounced the “exponential growth” of ex-guerrilla murders this Saturday despite the peace agreement.

“This is a systematic eradication. It is the amount of blood we are paying today to build a new society in peace. Unfortunately we have a government that does not have the implementation of the agreement under its radars, but is aiming for a media peace that The territories have nothing left, just the increase in violence and killings, “said FARC Senator Sandra Ramírez.

In particular, in his last official report, he affirmed that 216 ex-combatants were killed: two in 2016, 34 in 2017, 66 in the following year, 81 in 2019, and so far there have been 33 murders of Caracol radio stations this year.
