FRANKFURT, Dec. 20 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The European Central Bank (ECB) has appointed Petra Senkovic as general director of the Secretary and secretary of the governing bodies of the issuing institute, while also electing Pedro Gustavo Teixeira as general director of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board and secretary of the Council Supervision, as announced on Friday in a statement.
Senkovic is the general director of the Secretariat and secretary of the Supervisory Board since 2015. Previously, she was deputy general director of the legal services of the ECB, besides serving as a lawyer in the private sphere. She has a PhD in Law from the Sorbonne University and has a Master's degree in European Law from the College of Europe, a center attached to the University of Bruges.
On his side, Teixeira has been the general director of the Secretariat and secretary of the governing bodies of the ECB since 2016. Previously, he was the director of the Secretariat and secretary of the Supervisory Board. He began working in 1999 at the ECB on prudential supervision and financial stability. He is also a Doctor of Law from the European University Institute and a Master in Law from the University of Coimbra.
In this way, both ECB technicians will exchange their current positions as of February 1, 2020.
