The death toll rises to 65 on a train fire in northern Pakistan

At least 62 people have died and several have been injured by a fire recorded on a train passing through the town of Rahim Yar Jan, in northern Pakistan, as reported by Geo TV.

According to the authorities, the fire, which has destroyed three train compartments, occurred after a gas canister used to cook aboard the convoy exploded.

The head of the rescue services of the district, Baqir Husain, has confirmed the death toll and indicated that the bodies will be identified through the analysis of their DNA.
