The Czech Republic is already preparing for seven NATO countries to conduct their traditional “Rich Strike 2020” exercises from August 31 to September 19, Czech General Staff spokesman Tomasz Maruszak reported on Sunday.
The aim is to coordinate the activities of the ground units with those of the crews of military aircraft.
The culmination of the exercise will be September 7-18, added Maruszak, who expected to deploy the B-52 strategic bomber, the MQ-9 Reaper drones, and the Eurofighter, Tornado, Learjet, and PC-9B fighter planes. , Jas-39 Gripen, L-159 Alca, Mi-17, Mi-24, Mi-171Sh helicopters and others.
Around 7,000 military personnel from seven NATO member states will take part in the maneuvers: the United States, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania and Estonia.
