According to the founder and CEO of virtual party platform Party.Space, Niche “Microverse Experiences” will be the future of the Metaverse.
Rather than “build a big metaverse and sell some land there,” Yurii Filipchuk claims so Web3 creators should focus their efforts on exploring “the best way to interact online” with online communities.
The idea is that each online community builds its own microverse, which connects in a common network to form a metaverse..
Party.Space was launched in May 2020 with the idea of gamifying video chats. They now work with 65 corporate clients to host conferences, Christmas parties, team building events and workshops.
One of Filipchuk’s Microverse creations is the Doge’s Temple, a virtual space for fans of the Doge meme to socialize. It was launched in November 2021 by the virtual party platform Party.Space.
This week was the site of the after-party for Product Hunt’s 7th Annual (and 2nd Virtual) Golden Kitty Awards. Doge Temple was a semi-finalist in the Product Demonstration Video category but did not win the award.
ConstitutionDAO took home the Golden Kitty Award for Best Web3 Projectwith Phantom, Thirdweb and Rainbow as runners-up.

“We want to create Microverse experiences, and we want people to be able to travel between them to choose the Microverse that best suits their style.”Filipchuk told Cointelegraph. “We’re really exploring the new way people communicate.”
The COVID-19 pandemic and global lockdowns have forced many people around the world to shift part of their lives online.. Zoom has been the star of video calling, with platforms like Teams and Slack catching on in our work lives.
“Virtual events are here to stay because they’re very convenient and a lot more fun than talking on Zoom.”says Filipchuk.
Doge Temple explained his ideas about the Microverse in a November 2nd Medium post in which contested the idea that it was possible to build a “massive community around an artificially created virtual worldThe post explained:
“Whereas the Metaverse tries to be everything for everyone, the Microverse creates a personalized miniature world around existing communities, trends and ideas.â€
