The coronavirus pandemic, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, has already caused more than 863,000 deaths worldwide among the more than 26 million infected areas.
A total of 26,036,255 people were infected with the virus – around 281,000 more on the last day – more than half of them in the three most severely affected countries – the USA, Brazil and India – there are already 863,119 dead.
In terms of recovery, more than 17.29 million people have already managed to overcome COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus. Brazil tops the list with just over 3.3 million patients cured, followed by India with more than 3.38 million and the United States with just over 2.97 million.
The United States remains the world’s hardest-hit country by the pandemic, with 6.11 million infected and 185,744 deaths after adding 39,600 new cases from the previous balance.
