The coronavirus pandemic records a record 191,000 new cases and exceeds 494,000 deaths

The pandemic of the new corona virus originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan has registered 191,700 cases in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number in daily counting since the onset of the crisis and has infected a total of 9.8 million people worldwide, more than 494,000 deaths, according to the latest Johns Hopkins University report.

According to data updated this Saturday at 9:30 a.m., the global coronavirus balance is 9.8 million cases and 494,375 deaths in 188 countries and areas. The total number of people recovered exceeds 4.94 million, with Brazil topping the list with 702,399 people healed.

The United States remains the most affected country by the pandemic, setting a new daily record of 45,300 cases, with 2.46 million infected and 125,039 deaths. Brazil remains in second place with 46,900 positive results, with a total of 1.27 million infections and 55,961 deaths. Russia remains in third place with 619,936 positive and 8,770 deaths.

In fourth place, India has passed the half a million infections mark with a total of 508,953 positive and 15,685 deaths after breaking its daily record for the fourth time in a row, this time with 18,500 infections. Then the UK registered 310,836 infected and 43,498 deaths off Peru with 272,364 patients and 8,939 deaths.
