The coronavirus pandemic has already left 21 million infections and 760,000 deaths worldwide

The coronavirus pandemic has already resulted in 20.9 million infected people in the 188 countries affected by COVID-19, including around 760,000 deaths and nearly 13 million rescued patients. This is evident from the balance offered by the university this Friday, Johns Hopkins.

A total of 20,924,603 people became infected with the virus – 273,490 more than the previous day – of whom 759,716 died, representing a daily increase of 9,686, while those who recovered died from 12.8 to 12.9 million in the last 24 hours.

The United States remains the hardest hit country by the pandemic, with 5,254,171 cases and 167,242 deaths. followed by Brazil with 3,224,876 positive and 105,463 deaths; and India with 2,461,190 infected and 48,040 deaths.

Russia ranks fourth with 905,762 and 15,353, followed by South Africa – the hardest hit country in Africa – with 572,865 and 11,270 Peru (507,996 and 25,648), which has overtaken Mexico (505,751 and 55,293), Colombia (433,805 and 14,145 ) and Chile (380,034 and 10,299).
