The coronavirus pandemic exceeds 406,000 deaths and leaves more than 7.1 million cases worldwide

The new coronavirus pandemic originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan has left more than 406,000 deaths and more than 7.1 million infected worldwide, according to the latest from Johns Hopkins University.

According to data updated at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, the global coronavirus balance is 7.1 million cases and 406,542 deaths in 188 countries and areas.

The total number of people recovered exceeds 3.2 million, with the United States toping the list with 518,522 people cured, followed by Brazil with 378,257 rescued patients and Russia with 230,226.

The United States remains the country most affected by the pandemic. There have been a total of 17,300 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest since March 26, with 1.96 million infected and 111,007 deaths.
