The pandemic of the new corona virus originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan has registered 219,400 new cases in the past 24 hours, resulting in a balance of more than 13 million positive cases and more than 570,000 deaths in 188 countries.
The United States, where 3.3 million cases of COVID-19 are accumulated and 61,400 positives added from the previous balance, is also the country topping the list of deaths with 135,477 deaths. This is reflected in the global balance released this Monday at 10:30 p.m. (Peninsular Time) by Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Brazil is the country with the most recovered patients with 1.86 million positives, including 39,000 cases in the last 24 hours and 72,100 deaths, with 1.2 million people saved, while the United States collects more than a million discharged patients.
India, for its part, registered 878,254 infected and 23,154 deaths after calculating 28,600 positives in the daily credit. Then Russia accumulates 732,547 cases and 11,422 deaths. Peru is in fifth place with 330,123 positive and 12,054 deaths, close to the data for Chile, which accumulates 317,657 infections and 7,024 deaths.
