The pandemic of the new corona virus from the Chinese city of Wuhan has exceeded 13.3 million cases worldwide with more than 578,000 deaths. This is reflected in the global balance sheet published by Johns Hopkins University at 9:00 AM this Wednesday.
The United States, with 3.43 million cases of COVID-19 accumulated after adding 59,000 positive cases since the last balance, is also the country topping the list of deaths, with 136,466 deaths. Brazil – with 1.92 million positive and 74,133 deaths – is instead the country with the most recovered patients, with 1.32 million people saved, while the United States accumulates more than a million discharged patients.
India, for its part, has exceeded the 900,000 cases mark with a total of 936,181 infections and 24,309 deaths since Tuesday, after 28,500 positive cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. Then Russia accumulates 738,787 cases and 11,597 deaths. Peru ranks fifth with 333,867 positive and 12,229 deaths, close to the data for Chile, which accumulates 319,493 infections and 7,069 deaths.
MEXIKO accumulates more than 311,000 POSITIVES
Mexico, for its part, exceeds 300,000 cases with a total of 311,493 infected and 36,327 deaths, while South Africa has 298,292 people with coronavirus and 4,346 deaths.
