The coronavirus pandemic affects nearly 10 million infections and half a million deaths worldwide

The pandemic of the new corona virus originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan has recorded 178,000 cases in the last 24 hours, while the number of cases and deaths is approaching 10 million and half a million people, according to the latest report published by Johns University, Hopkins.

According to data updated this Sunday at 9:15 a.m., the global coronavirus balance is 9.9 million cases and 498,895 deaths in 188 countries and areas. The total number of people rescued has already exceeded five million, with Brazil topping the list with 727,715 people healed.

The United States remains the most affected country by the pandemic, setting a new daily record of 45,300 cases, with 2.5 million infected and 125,539 fatalities. Brazil remains in second place with 38,700 positives, with a total of 1.3 million infections and 57,070 deaths. Russia remains in third place with 626,779 positive and 8,958 deaths.

In fourth place, India has passed the half a million infections mark with a total of 528,859 positive and 16,095 deaths after breaking its daily record for the fifth time in a row, this time with 20,095 infections. Then the UK registered 311,727 infected people and 43,598 deaths off Peru with 275,989 patients and 9,135 deaths.
