The coronavirus pandemic setting in China has already left more than 23.2 million cases worldwide and has exceeded 800,000 deaths in the past hours, after 258,000 infections occurred in the past 24 hours at Johns Hopkins University across the 188 countries and territories affected.
A total of 23,206,319 people were infected with the virus, which has already resulted in 804,444 deaths. In addition, more than 14.9 million people have managed to overcome the disease, with Brazil being the country with the most recovered patients with 2.9 million, followed by India with more than 2.2 million.
The United States remains the hardest hit country with 5.66 million cases, and the 176,362 deaths that COVID-19 has claimed to date are also at the forefront in this section.
Brazil ranks second with more than 3.5 million cases and 114,250 deaths in both the infected and the deceased. Third is India, which has already surpassed three million registered cases and 56,706 deaths after hitting its daily infection record this Sunday of nearly 70,000.
