The pandemic of the new coronavirus originating in the Chinese city of Wuhan has passed the 200,000 deaths mark in the 185 countries around the world where the disease has been reported, while the United States, its global epicenter, has passed the 50,000 deaths in the past few hours .
According to the global equilibrium of Johns Hopkins University, which was updated this Saturday at 8:30 a.m., 2,790,986 people have been infected and 195,920 people have been killed in the pandemic. The total number of people healed is 781,382, with Germany topping this table with 106,800 salvaged people, followed by the United States with 96,677.
The North American giant, however, remains the country most affected by the coronavirus. A total of 21,352 cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, compared to 29,000 the previous day. With the new cases, the balance in the United States is 890,524 infected and there are already more than 51,017 deaths.
