August 11, 2020

The Peruvian Ministry of Health registered 2,063 new infections this Monday, so the curve continues to grow in the country where 483,133 cases have already been accumulated, in addition to 21,276 deaths after the last 204 registered.

Given last week’s bulky numbers, the new Prime Minister Walter Martos has announced that the government is considering the possibility of redesigning new quarantine measures according to the epidemiological situation in each region.

With this in mind, the new Health Minister Pilar Mazzetti pointed out the possibility of returning to curfew on Sundays in the two main centers of the pandemic in Peru, Lima and Callao.
