The Colombian prosecutor’s office registered the headquarters of the Democratic Center, the political party of the country’s president, Iván Duque, on Wednesday, as part of an investigation into the alleged use of foreign funds to fund the 2018 campaign, to which he was catapulted the Nariño home.

The inspection was carried out after the statement by the director of the Democratic Center, Nubia Stella, that the money was an offer from businessman Oswaldo Cisneros.

Centro Democrático said in a statement that Stella’s statement was “an opportunity to resolve issues related to managing the resources of this year’s campaigns, whose accounts have been certified to date.”
