The governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria Correa, has criticized the attack, reiterating his “outrage and total disapproval” for the “cowardly murder of four soldiers in our country while serving and caring for the community of Santa Lucia”.

In a message published on his social networks, Gaviria expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and stated that Antioquia’s Minister of Security, Jorge Ignacio Castaño, has traveled to the area to assist the investigation.
